Luganeggiando 2023: Wine, Food, and Tours in Lugana DOC Region
12 wineries, 13 kilometers, and many fine wines to taste. These are the key figures of the second edition of Luganeggiando – scheduled for next May 6 – a gourmet promotion event highlighting the production area of Lugana DOC. The event is organized by Pro Loco di Peschiera and the cultural association La Traccia.
Launched last year, this initiative features a walking or cycling tour through the vineyards of lower Garda, in the area between Peschiera del Garda, Sirmione, and Pozzolengo. The aim is to promote the local wine culture and the wineries that have embraced it over the years through the production and marketing of Lugana white wines.
Activities and visits to the wineries
Participants will have the chance to enter the agricultural estates of the region, tour the cellars, sample local traditional dishes, and pair them with D.O.C. wines produced by various wineries from the vineyards of the first Morenic hills south of Garda: Lugana D.O.C., the sparkling Lagana, and the Lugana Superiore.
There will be twelve stops:
- Departure (10:30 am) from the parking lot of the artisan zone in località Broglie (Peschiera del Garda), near the Madonna del Frassino Sanctuary;
- Cantina Otella, San Benedetto di Lugana;
- Tenuta Roveglia, Pozzolengo;
- Cantina Marangona, Pozzolengo;
- Cà Lojera winery, Sirmione;
- Rebay winery, San Benedetto di Lugana;
- Prospero Alice winery, San Benedetto di Lugana;
- Alessandro Modena winery, San Benedetto di Lugana;
- Gabriele Prospero winery, San Benedetto di Lugana;
- Valerio Zenato winery, San Benedetto di Lugana;
- S. Cristina winery, San Benedetto di Lugana;
- Angela Tosi winery, San Benedetto di Lugana;
- Fraccaroli Brothers winery, San Benedetto di Lugana.
