A special event will take place on April 3rd at the auditorium of Palazzo dei Panni, as part of the Thursday series of the La Palma Cultural Circle. The Alto Garda Music School presents an evening dedicated to Giacomo Puccini, one of the most renowned opera composers in history, marking the centenary of his passing. This lyrical concert will not only be a musical performance but also an engaging narrative game that will enrich the audience’s experience.
A Tribute to the Great Composer
Giacomo Puccini, born in Lucca on December 22, 1858, and passed away in Brussels on November 29, 1924, has left an indelible mark on the global operatic landscape. To commemorate his legacy, the Alto Garda Music School has devised a program that combines performances by students of lyrical singing with creative narrative moments.
The Concert Program
The concert will feature students performing under the direction of Maestro Paolo Savio, a renowned pianist and conductor. The performers will present a varied repertoire that includes arias, duets, and quartets from Puccini’s most famous works. This blend of music and youthful talent promises to convey to the audience the emotion and beauty of Puccini’s compositions.
An Engaging Narrative Game
Alongside the music, an original narrative game will be staged in which the characters Tosca and Musetta will compete to determine who knows the works of the Lucchese composer better. The reciting voices of Elisa Salvini and Sabrina Modena will bring to life texts that explore not only the artist but also the man behind his famous operas.
Thus, the event represents a unique fusion of music and storytelling, celebrating the extraordinary legacy of Giacomo Puccini through an evening rich in emotion and culture.
