MAG Riva del Garda Hosts a Week of IT.A.CA, Talks on the Sky, and Guided Tours

The MAG in Riva del Garda will host the IT.A.CA Responsible Tourism Festival until Sunday, 2 August, with the “Visitate il Garda” exhibition, an astronomy evening at Forte Garda, and free entry on the first Sunday of the month. The week’s programme began on Monday, 28 July, when IT.A.CA’s Riva stage focused on “Geografie di Pace”.

Among the main events, the opening day combined a guided visit to “Visitate il Garda. Grafica e promozione dalla Belle Epoque al turismo moderno” with a talk on landscape featuring war psychiatrist Antonella Bertolotti and art historian Sabrina Santini. In the evening, the Rocca courtyard hosted “La guerra vista con gli occhi delle bambine e dei bambini Palestinesi ed Ucraini”, produced with the participation of Emergency and on display at the MAG until 1 August. The “Visitate il Garda” exhibition traces how Lake Garda has been promoted through more than 100 works, including posters, postcards and photographs, from Belle Epoque imagery to contemporary tourism communication.

On Thursday, 30 July at 20:30, “Con il naso all’insu” offers a free guided stargazing session at Forte Garda (Monte Brione) with the Astrofili Alto Garda e Ledro association, with no booking required. On Friday, 31 July at 10:30, the museum runs an English-language guided tour of “Visitate il Garda,” included in the ticket price. Sunday, 2 August (10:00–18:00) returns #domenicaalmuseo with free admission to all three museum floors, including “Visitate il Garda” and “Baricentri. Identita urbane dei quartieri 2 Giugno e Degasperi”; the Torre Apponale remains open until 18:00 this week, while evening openings until 22:00 resume from 3 August.
