Malcesine and Monte Baldo Cable Car: Issues and Online Tickets
The Malcesine-Monte Baldo cable car continues to be a key attraction for tourism around Lake Garda; however, the influx of visitors during peak season has highlighted some issues. According to recent analyses, only a small percentage of tourists purchase their tickets online, with the majority arriving in the area between 10:15 AM and 12:00 PM, leading to traffic congestion and difficulties in finding parking. Long waits for ticket purchases at the departure station can extend to several hours, negatively impacting the overall experience.
To improve the situation, the Municipality of Malcesine encourages visitors to book their tickets online through the cable car’s official channels. This method not only allows for the selection of the day and time of the ride but also offers a discount compared to the standard ticket price at the station. With this initiative, the aim is to reduce waiting times and ensure a smoother access to the facility.
