Specifically, the small beach at Posterna, located at the foot of the picturesque Scaliger Castle, has become the scene of a concerning increase in young people diving into the lake, driven by a desire for adventure despite the evident risks of the location.
Risks and Dangerous Behaviors
Recently, there has been a significant rise in visitors to this area, with many young people ignoring restrictions and accessing the prohibited area. Some even attempt to climb over a locked gate secured by a sturdy iron grille to reach the shoreline. This situation has prompted Mayor Giuseppe Benamati to take decisive measures to safeguard public safety.
Municipal Administration’s Intervention
In response to this growing issue, the municipal administration has issued an ordinance aimed at reinforcing the access ban to the area and explicitly prohibiting diving from the rocks beneath the fortress. The initiative seeks not only to protect the safety of citizens but also to preserve the integrity of the historic site.
