Manerba hosts the Alpini Gathering: events and celebrations at Lake Garda

One Thousand Alpini Expected in Manerba: The Monte Suello Gathering will take place on September 6 and 7, featuring the participation of over one thousand members from 57 groups of “penne nere” (black feathers) from the Garda and Valsabbia regions. The Ana “Montesuello” Section has officially announced the event, which includes the traditional handover of the “stick” to Mayor Flaviano Mattiotti and the local Alpini group. The mayor expressed his pride in hosting an event that celebrates memory, values, and local identity, highlighting the significance of the Manerba group, which has been active for 102 years.

The program features a rich calendar of events, with tricolor flags adorning the streets of the town. On Saturday afternoon, a gathering is scheduled at the Alpini monument, and the parade will culminate on Sunday morning after the mass, when the Alpini will march through the neighborhoods to Piazza Aldo Moro. Throughout the weekend, there will also be food stalls and musical entertainment. Sergio Poinelli, the president of the Section, emphasized the importance of the event in strengthening bonds of friendship and cohesion among the participants. The mayor confirmed that preparations are underway and that Manerba is ready to welcome this significant occasion.
