Manerba Unveils Giant Screen to Support Franzoni During Bormio Descent

A large-screen viewing event will be held on Saturday, February 7, at the Palazzetto dello Sport in Manerba del Garda to broadcast the Olympic downhill race from Bormio, supporting local skier Giovanni Franzoni. The broadcast, which begins at 10:30 AM, will feature live commentary by Lara Magoni, a three-time Olympic athlete and CONI delegate, with free entry until the competition ends.

Giovanni Franzoni, born in 2001 and a member of the Fiamme Gialle, recently achieved his first World Cup podium in December 2025, winning a super-G in Val Gardena, followed by victories in Wengen and Kitzbühel. The event is organized by the Manerba del Garda municipal administration to show community support for the athlete, with Vice Mayor Luca Beltrami emphasizing the town’s commitment to backing Franzoni.
