Marcel Jacobs has returned to Desenzano del Garda to prepare for the World Athletics Championships set to take place in Tokyo from September 13 to 21, 2025. The Olympic champion has chosen to return to the track that marked the beginning of his career, with the aim of claiming the only title that still eludes him. This return comes after a challenging winter and a spring plagued by injuries, but Jacobs is determined to bounce back and continue with his Academy.
In anticipation of the important global event, the two-time Olympic champion will participate in the Lausanne meeting on August 20 and plans to make another competitive appearance before the big event. However, he will not take part in the National Championships taking place this weekend at the Chiggiato Stadium in Caorle, focusing all his energy on preparing for Tokyo.
