The “Words Among Us” series returns to Desenzano del Garda with a rich program of author meetings, which will take place at the enchanting Villa Brunati from June 5 to September 26, 2025. This edition features thirteen events, every Thursday at 9:00 PM during the summer months and on Fridays at 6:30 PM in September, showcasing prominent figures from Italian culture and literature such as Alice Basso, Maurizio De Giovanni, and Piergiorgio Pulixi. The first meeting will be dedicated to Basso, who will present her book “The Twenty-Seven Alarms of Athena Ferraris.”
The City’s Councillor for Culture, Pietro Avanzi, emphasized the significance of this initiative in bringing the public closer to literature through direct dialogue with authors. Attendance at the events is free until seating is full, providing a unique opportunity to discover the latest literary releases in a charming lakeside setting.
