Recently, the mayor of Desenzano del Garda, Guido Malinverno, announced that the Lombardy Region has sent a draft of a memorandum of understanding concerning the redevelopment of the local hospital. Specifically, the document outlines the formation of a working group tasked with examining various design solutions for the hospital facility, in addition to those already considered in the Feasibility Study. This initiative involves not only the municipality but also the Province of Brescia and local health authorities.
Malinverno emphasized that this approach opens up the possibility for new assessments, shifting the focus away from a project initially planned for the area of the current sports field. Thus, the memorandum of understanding represents a significant step towards exploring alternatives for the construction of the new hospital, aiming to ensure a more adequate response to the community’s needs.
