Minister Salvini Unveils Garda High-Speed Rail Station
Guido Malinverno, the mayor of Desenzano del Garda, welcomed Matteo Salvini’s remote announcement confirming the government’s plan to build a Garda TAV station, disclosed during a presentation of PNRR-funded interventions for the Garda-Mincio regulation system. He described the project as a significant opportunity for the region’s transport network and local development.
RFI will develop a feasibility and sustainability study for the station, with the work mustering attention to the area’s historical, environmental, and landscape features to ensure harmonious integration.
Malinverno also thanked Mantuan mayors for their public support and recalled backing from transport commission members Dara and Formentini, as well as other national and local stakeholders and the business community. He concluded that the Garda TAV station represents a major opportunity for the region’s transport system and its development.
