Ministry Endorses Lonato Fair, Highlighting Agriculture Significance

The Ministry of Agriculture has endorsed the 43rd edition of the Lonato Fair, scheduled for mid-January. The news comes from the Fair Committee.

Recently, a telegram was delivered to the mayor and the councilor Paolo Marcoli, in which the Minister Alfonso Pecoraro Scanio, through his chief of staff Antonio Cenini, communicated his support and official endorsement of the fair.

“We must be proud,” says Mayor Morando Perini. “This news is significant; the Fair needs new stimuli. When our administration sent a detailed dossier about the event, we expected a positive response from the minister.”

The minister himself — continues Perini, who is also the president of the Fair Committee — deemed it appropriate to grant the patronage; evidently, the Lonato Fair understands and reflects the value and importance of agriculture.

Program and comparison with other fairs

This year, the fair will be held from January 12 to 14 in the exhibition area close to the middle schools and the Itis, and along the streets of the historic center. A return to the past, to its ancient roots, in short.

Also because the Lonato Fair cannot compete, in terms of space and organization, with the nearby Montichiari Fair. m.t.
