Ministry of Finance Recognizes Garda’s Centomiglia as National Event

For the third consecutive year, the Ministry of Finance has selected the “Centomiglia del Garda” as an event of high sporting prestige and significant tourist interest to be associated with one of the national lotteries of 2001.

Activities of the Organizing Committee

Vincenzo Visco, through the Ministry he oversees, verified the excellent activity of the Local Organizing Committee, which in 1991 and 1995, despite the challenging timing of the event in August, achieved excellent results in ticket sales.

Interest of the Garda Community

The Garda Community believed it could serve as an interpreter of this opportunity. The requesting organization considered, first of all, that the regatta, organized by the Circolo Vela Gargnano, is one of the main expressions of sailing shows, capable of involving hundreds of international athletes and thousands of spectators.
