Mirta de Simoni Lasta Exhibits at Castle as International Art Fairs Recognize Her Work

At the castle, the «Flowers» by Mirta de Simoni Lasta. The artist from Trentino will exhibit throughout July. Born in Cles, she lives and works in Volano.

In 1980, she held her first personal exhibition in Rovereto. This marked the beginning of a research and exhibition activity that has taken her throughout Italy and several European countries, as well as to Singapore.

Artistic Career and Influences

It was critic Luigi Serravanti, whom Mirta de Simoni Lasta met for the first time in 1990, who marked a turning point in her research. The philosopher-professor became her mentor and guide in exploring stylistic and thematic depths.

«Her canvases», states Giovanna Nicoletti in one of De Simoni’s catalogs, «have a vertical orientation. They emerge as invasions of spaces pulsating with energy, focused on the pictorial surface».
