Mondo Cavallo Returns to Italy with Nearly 400 Horses from 20 Countries

“Mondo Cavallo” returns to the Centro Fiera di Montichiari with the right numbers for a new success. Nearly 400 horses, along with their riders, are arriving from twenty countries to showcase an international event that already has the credentials to rank among the top exhibitions of its kind, not only in Italy but also across Europe. “We could have reached much higher numbers, surpassing last year’s second edition — comments Uliano Vezzani, general manager of Mondo Cavallo, but unfortunately, due to well-known international difficulties, some countries that had already registered, such as the United States, Israel, Saudi Arabia, and Jordan, will not be present”.

However, this obstacle has also been overcome: the show must go on, and between competitions and parades, it will occupy six days, from tomorrow until October 28, in the pavilions of Centro Fiera del Garda, maintaining similar attendance levels to last year, when about 15,000 visitors attended. “We made a considerable effort — confirms Ezio Zorzi, director of Centro Fiera, and we had to give up about eighty horses that registered late”. This success is due to the strong collaboration established among Artec, Centro Fiera, Comune di Montichiari, and Provincia di Brescia, who deeply believed in this event.

The “Mondo Cavallo” organization received positive comments from Alberto Cavalli, president of the Provincia, and Gianpaolo Mantelli, provincial councilor for Agriculture, during the press conference yesterday at Broletto. “This event — they emphasized, is important for the entire horse and equestrian sports sector, which our province strongly supports and passionately promotes, especially among women and young people”.

Representatives from Agricar (BMW dealership) and “Novello Giardini Italiani”, which have been supporting “Mondo Cavallo” since the first edition in 1999, were also present at Broletto. “In this edition, we will present our new project related to the Garden Lounge of the Horse — explained Marino Novello, owner of the eponymous company, which involves creating an environment where the world of horses and that of the owner can coexist”. So, gardens and accessories for equestrianism and the horse world in general will also be on display.

Now to the competitions, which will be held indoors and feature a prize pool of 70 million euros. Tomorrow, Saturday, and Sunday, the “National Show Jumper Competition” will take place. On Sunday, the “Pony Trofeo Lombardia” will be contested, while from October 26 to 28, the International Show Jumping Competition will occur. “We especially thank Salvatore Culcasi of Centro Fiera — added Vezzani, – for his invaluable and relentless efforts in ensuring the event’s success”.

The inauguration is scheduled for tomorrow at 12 pm. Exhibitions will run until 8 pm. Entrance times are as follows: Saturday 20 (from 9 am to 9 pm); Sunday (from 9 am to 8 pm); Friday 26 (from 9 am to 8 pm); Saturday 27 (from 9 am to 9 pm); Sunday 28 (from 9 am to 8 pm). “Mondo Cavallo” will take a brief break from October 22 to 25.
