Moniga del Garda Hosts Photo Exhibition on Cultural Diversity
On May 21, World Day for Cultural Diversity for Dialogue and Development, Moniga del Garda hosts a photo exhibition titled “Raccontando il mondo,” curated by Lida Plati. The event is promoted by UNESCO to foster mutual respect and peaceful coexistence through dialogue among cultures.
The exhibition features photographs from the author’s travels to Morocco and Yemen, depicting daily life, desert camel drivers, children at play, and women in traditional dress along the coast. Visitors are invited to explore with open eyes and curiosity, to understand how cultural distances can be bridged through shared experiences, and to view diversity as a value. Local partners include the FotoClub di Moniga, with references to the documentary work of Cesare Linoto and Guido Bressan for Valtenesi communities. The show is in the first-floor atrium of the town hall and available during public office hours.
