Fiorenzo Pollini, a prominent figure in the boating industry on Lake Garda and a well-known entrepreneur in Moniga, passed away at the age of 67 due to a cerebral hemorrhage. After three days of hospitalization in the Intensive Care Unit at the Desenzano hospital, he succumbed, leaving a deep void in the local community and among boating enthusiasts. The funeral home has been set up at the hospital, where family members are receiving visitors until 5:50 PM. The funeral will take place tomorrow afternoon at 4 PM in the parish church of Moniga.
Pollini was the founder of Pollini Nautica, which has been active for over thirty years in the sale and rental of boats on the lake, with a branch opened in 2022 in Lignano Sabbiadoro. He began his career as a hairdresser, following in the footsteps of his father Brunetto, but his passion for boating led him to embark on a long entrepreneurial journey that also encompassed sports such as tennis and diving. His wife Monika remembers him as a charismatic and vibrant man, always engaged in new projects. Fiorenzo is mourned by his family, including his sons Mattia and Nicola, who worked alongside him, as well as his mother Piera and his grandchildren. Numerous messages of condolence have also arrived from abroad in memory of the man affectionately known as “Fiore.”
