Monte Brione and Alto Garda Museum: culture and historical memory
A highly anticipated cultural event will take place on Sunday, October 15 at 3:30 PM at Fort Garda, located on Monte Brione. The company Gli Slegati will present a performance that intertwines contemporary stories and reflections, transforming the stage into a vibrant space for dialogue. This initiative is organized by the Museo Alto Garda as part of the “Sentinelle di pietra” series, which aims to revive historical memory through artistic performances in significant locations of local history. Admission is free until seats are filled. To reach Fort Garda, visitors must walk along the Sentiero della Pace, which is accessible only on foot or by bicycle, starting from Porto San Nicolò (65 meters above sea level) along Viale Rovereto 140. After approximately 15 minutes of walking, you will arrive at the fort, situated at an altitude of 185 meters above sea level; continuing for about 30 more minutes will take you to the Batteria di Mezzo (360 meters above sea level).
