Montichiari and Public Safety: Strategies for Crime Prevention
The Prefect of Brescia, Andrea Polichetti, presided over a new session of the Provincial Committee for Public Order and Security in Montichiari on Wednesday, the 3rd, marking the fifth step in an initiative aimed at strengthening public safety and crime prevention across various areas of the province. The meeting took place in the municipal council chamber and involved mayors and delegates from 24 municipalities in the Eastern Bassa Bresciana region. During the meeting, the Prefect listened to specific concerns and needs of the community, emphasizing the importance of targeted preventive measures to maintain high levels of vigilance. Also present were the leaders of the Law Enforcement Agencies and emergency services. The Prefect shared strategies to intensify controls and improve collaboration between local police and law enforcement. Among the priorities identified were increasing personnel in local police forces and enhancing surveillance networks, which are crucial tools for both investigations and as a deterrent against crime.
