Montichiari Boosts Provincial Growth with Fiera Center Development
During yesterday’s conference on the metró, attention was also given to the growing importance that Montichiari is gaining at the provincial level.
The focus was on the development of the airport, industrial growth, the evolution of the sports sector (including the addition of the velodrome), the possible arrival of a new provincial stadium, and most notably, the Centro fiera.
Enzo Cibaldi’s Statement
This point was at the center of Enzo Cibaldi‘s speech, a municipal councilor from Forza Italia in Brescia and president of Metef.
“We hope that the unified office center that coordinates both the Fiera di Brescia (whose first phase will be completed in July) and the Montichiari fair will be realized as soon as possible,” he declared, receiving applause from the attendees.
Progress and Projects of the Montichiari Fair Center
The Centro fiera in Montichiari continues its progress, gaining consensus: as the Nautic show closes today, preparations are underway for the 73rd National Agricultural Fair (starting February 23), which is expected to break more records.
Meanwhile, announcements have been made regarding the construction of new parking facilities (at a cost of 700 million euros), a new pavilion, the appointment of three new members to the board of directors, and an increase in the provincial participation share from 10 to 20 percent (the Comune di Montichiari will thus see its stake decrease from 90 to 80 percent).
The new board members are Oliviero Carzeri, a resident of Montichiari and provincial councilor from Forza Italia (who will replace the resigned Alberto Cavalli, President of the Province); Attilio Este, a merchant, and Norberto Rosini from Brescia.
Two substitutes are also added to the auditors: Renato Baratti and Giuseppe Galuppini.
Comment from the President of the Centro fiera
“An active council with great projects and excellent results,” commented Leonardo Tanzini, president of the Centro fiera. f.d.c.
