Montichiari Celebrates 100 Years as Centenarian Marks Milestone With Family and Officials

A centenarian from Montichiari, **Margherita Danesi**, born **July 13, 1926**, celebrated her **100th birthday** on **July 13** at the **Casa albergo**, where she has been hosted for two years. The event, organized by her family, was attended by **Mayor Marco Togni**, who presented her with a bouquet of flowers, along with representatives of the **Montichiari Multiservizi** board and staff.

Danesi, who was born in the **Chiarini** hamlet and is linked to Montichiari, previously lived in **Novagli** and spent **seven years at Villa Lucia** before moving to her current residence. She is married to **Giovanni Cimarosti** (died in **1998**) and has **four children** (three living), **eight grandchildren**, and **ten great-grandchildren**. She uses a wheelchair but has retained good memory, recalling the **Second World War** and an early-century epidemic she remembers during which people wore **masks made from bed sheets**; she has always worked as a homemaker and continues to attend weekly Mass, pray the rosary, and watch television regularly.
