Montichiari kicks off the Sagra di San Lorenzo, a traditional event taking place in Novagli from August 1st to 10th. The festival features a series of cultural and recreational activities, culminating in the Palio degli Asini, now in its 44th edition, where the districts of Novagli Sera, Novagli Mattina, Novagli Campagna, and Trivellini will compete against each other. The Palio is scheduled for Sunday, August 3rd at 6:30 PM, followed by a concert by the Marco and Alice show orchestra.
The program also includes musical evenings with artists such as Daniele Tarantino and Francesca Mazzuccato in the following days. Each evening, food stalls and inflatable games for children will be available on the weekends. The entire proceeds from the festival will be donated to the local parish of San Lorenzo, making the event not only a time for celebration but also an opportunity to support the community.
