Montichiari Restructures Combatants and Veterans Archive

A project to reorganize the Montichiari Fighters and Veterans archive has been launched, aiming to preserve an important local historical collection. The initiative, a collaboration between the municipality and the Brescia branch of the national Fighters and Veterans association, involves historian Emanuele Cerutti, who is inventorying and conserving the documents.

The archive, stored partly at the former registry office and in Palazzo Tabarino’s attic, contains previously inaccessible materials from the 1920s and 1930s, some not found in the Brescia federation. The project has received support from local authorities and the Brescia State Archives, with results expected to be presented in June 2026.
