Montichiari to Mark 81st Liberation Anniversary With Official Ceremony on April 25, 2026
Montichiari will mark the 81st anniversary of Liberation with an official ceremony on Saturday, April 25, 2026. Organized by the Municipal Administration, the program starts at 9:00 with a Mass at the Duomo, followed by a procession and a series of interventions in the Sala Consiliare.
The mass will be celebrated at 9:00 by Abbot Cesare Cancarini in the main church. At 10:00, a procession of local authorities, associations, citizens, and the Carlo Inico Band will move through the city center to monuments dedicated to the Fallen, the Resistance, and the Constitution, where laurel wreaths will be laid in homage.
At 10:30, the event continues in the Municipal Sala Consiliare with speeches by students from local schools, who will present works prepared for the anniversary. The morning will conclude with the official address from the Municipal Administration, reaffirming the historical and civic value of Liberation Day.
