A motocross accident occurred on Wednesday evening in the Veronese mountains, prompting a nighttime intervention by the Mountain Rescue team. The alert was raised around 11:20 PM when the Suem operations center activated the rescue for an injured motorcyclist along a challenging trail between Baito Cola Lunga and Rubiana, at an altitude of about 1,000 meters in the municipality of Caprino Veronese. The individual involved, a 32-year-old from Bussolengo, was riding downhill at night with friends when he lost control of his motorcycle and fell, sustaining a possible fracture to his leg.
After accurately locating the motorcyclist, rescuers managed to reach Baito Cola Lunga with off-road vehicles and continued on foot along the steep trail to the accident site. Once stabilized and given initial medical care, the man was placed on a stretcher and transported to a wider clearing to facilitate the intervention of the Trento 118 helicopter. The recovery took place around 2:45 AM via winch, and the motorcyclist was flown to the hospital for further medical evaluation.
