A motorcycle-car accident occurred this morning shortly after noon on the Gardesana, near the tunnel in Limone, specifically in the Castèl area. Two individuals on a motorcycle were traveling north when, for reasons still under investigation, they collided with a car that was exiting a private parking lot. The passenger on the motorcycle, a 50-year-old woman, sustained serious injuries and was urgently transported by helicopter to the Civile hospital under red code; fortunately, her condition is serious but she is not believed to be in life-threatening danger.
Volunteers from Garda and local police arrived at the scene to carry out the necessary investigations. Due to the rescue operations, the Gardesana experienced long traffic jams and was blocked for a considerable amount of time. Authorities are investigating the circumstances that led to the accident.
