A 34-year-old hiker was trapped in the bed of a stream while descending towards Limone del Garda yesterday afternoon. The man had become stuck above a rocky drop, necessitating the intervention of the Sondrio air rescue service, coordinated by AREU – the Regional Emergency and Urgency Agency. Technicians from the CNSAS – National Alpine and Speleological Rescue Corps assisted in the recovery operations, which concluded successfully.
Fortunately, the hiker’s condition did not require hospitalization. After being brought back down by the rescuers, the tourist was able to return to his hotel in good condition, marking the end of an adventurous and fortunate day for both him and the members of the alpine rescue involved in the operation.
