This morning, Thursday, March 13, 2025, the Mountain Rescue team from the Valsabbia Station, part of the Brescia Delegation, responded to assist a 23-year-old man who suffered a medical emergency near Monte Pizzocolo, at an altitude of 1455 meters. The teams were activated by the operations center and used an all-terrain vehicle to reach the young man in distress.
The Bergamo air rescue service from AREU – Regional Emergency and Urgency Agency also arrived on the scene and facilitated the recovery of the young man. The technicians from CNSAS – National Alpine and Speleological Rescue Corps also assisted the individual who was with him, unharmed, escorting them back down the mountain. The rescuers concluded their operation and returned in late morning; the young man was transferred in green code to the hospital in Gavardo.
