Municipal Technical Office Director Needed for Public Works Oversight

A director is needed for the municipal technical office. Partly because this office has always been considered the Achilles’ heel of the administration and especially because there will be several public works to oversee in the coming years. A department to be reorganized, therefore, to handle the enormous commitments of the Pavese restructuring, for example, but not limited to that. A prepared manager will be necessary, whether an engineer or an architect.

Type of appointment and characteristics

The municipal council has nonetheless preferred to assign a fixed-term appointment. That is, a position tied to the length of the mayor’s electoral term. The salary will be around three and a half million euros: one million more than the standard as an additional allowance to compensate for the limited coverage period of the position. It will be a person-specific appointment.

The technician will, in fact, be chosen by the same Parolari from among those who submit their detailed curriculum vitae to the secretariat by 12 noon on October 2. Interested candidates must also demonstrate at least six years of experience working in public administrations.

Responsibilities and precedents

It is obvious that the future director will bear full responsibility for the office. He will not be merely a trusted advisor to the council but an external figure, as was architect Bruschetti from Rovereto for a couple of years.
