During the recent holiday weekends of April 25th and May 1st, the Guardia di Finanza intensified nautical inspections to ensure navigational safety in the waters of Lago di Garda, in response to the increase in visitors. A total of 125 inspections were conducted across the main lakes in Northern Italy, with 37 specific operations on Lago di Garda, where 24 violations were identified. The most common infractions involved speeding and the lack of safety equipment during activities such as water skiing.
Additionally, authorities have launched investigations into the irregular use of public areas, as part of a plan coordinated by the relevant Prefectures. This operation is part of the Guardia di Finanza’s mission to protect the legal economy and public order, supported by naval and aerial units for effective monitoring of the waters.
