Navigating the Sea of Solidarity: Sailing and Initiatives in Maderno
All national and international entities utilizing sailing as a therapeutic activity will be present on Saturday and Sunday in Maderno for the fifth edition of «Navigating the Great Sea of Solidarity», which will have a fitting prelude at Villa Alba tomorrow evening with a concert by the Salò City Orchestra.
On Saturday, May 5th, a forum will be held at the schools of Toscolano featuring the presentation of new initiatives, such as «Vele senza frontiere» (Sails Without Borders), the cooperative «Argo», «Hayak», «Eos», and «Azzurro-Garda by Pompea», a support operation for the 2002 Deaf World Cup scheduled in Gargnano.
Presentations and Initiatives
The day will continue in Bogliaco, where the official presentation of the Garda Lottery will take place in the evening, with a jackpot draw scheduled for August 26th.
On Sunday, May 6th, at 11 a.m., the «Porta in barca un … amico» (Take a Friend on Board) regatta, organized by the Gargnano and Toscolano sailing clubs with the sponsorship of the Provincial Sports Department, will be held.
Guests and competitors will include members of the rock band «Pincapallina», who will face off against blind sailors from Homerus, the Vele senza frontiere group, the Hayak project, journalists from various national newspapers and TV stations.
