New Elegant Wooden Benches with Cast Iron Supports Debut Along Via Segantini

New elegant benches with seats and backrests made of natural varnished wood, mounted on cast iron supports that reproduce intertwined bamboo canes with civic coat of arms, appeared yesterday along via Segantini and via Vergolano. They replace the previously installed benches of a different model, also in cast iron and wood but painted green, which have been withdrawn and placed in the Segantini Gardens, in viale delle Magnolie, and in green spaces of some frazioni.

Supports and history of the benches

The cast iron supports of the new benches are an exact reproduction of the model that, at the end of the last century, the owners of Villa Angerer, now ex Sanaclero, adopted for one of the most beautiful parks in Alto Garda.

A private individual who had purchased some pieces at an auction made them freely available to the foundry that won the contract for the casting.

There are a total of 25 benches, which cost a total of 18 million 300 thousand lire, as clarified by the councilor Miori and technician Ricci.
