New Golf Course at Lake Garda Enhances Agriturismo Offering
According to updated criteria of agriturismo, a new “promotion” golf course has recently been built on Lake Garda.
More precisely, the new facility has been established on the farm “Il Colombaro” in the Cunettone area (the most precise reference point is the “Salò 2” shopping center). The course was expertly designed by Scottish engineer Tom Dewar; the project manager was engineer Dario Anastasi.
Characteristics of the golf course
It features a spacious and panoramic practice area (driving range) with five covered and five uncovered hitting bays. There are three holes: the 1st, a par 4 measuring 300 meters with a dogleg to the right; the 2nd, a par 3 measuring 100 meters, straightforward; and the 3rd, also a par 3, measuring 130 meters.
The latter appears to be the most interesting because it presents some challenges (but only for beginners): here, the green is protected by some side trees and a small lake that supplies irrigation to the farm, which spans 14 hectares and produces extra virgin olive oil (there are some apartment accommodations on site).
Facilities and activities
The dimensions of “Il Colombaro” course are quite substantial, comfortably hosting a standard putting green as well as a large pitching green for practicing approach shots and bunker exits. The course is already operational and has adequate parking facilities.

They are (in alphabetical order): Arzaga (Calvagese), Bogliaco, Bresciagolf (Brescia, via Stretta), Colombaro (Salò, Cunettone), Franciacorta (Cortefranca), GardaGolf (Soiano), Pontedilegno (seasonal), Serenissima (Centro Rigamonti, San Polo).
The members registered with various clubs number around 2,000. The annual number of foreign players on Brescia courses is approximately 10,000 visitors.
