New Principal Leads School to National and International Honors

The management of the new school principal Professor Armando Gallina has begun in the best possible way, with significant national recognitions.

Gallina arrived just a few weeks ago to lead the Istituto di istruzione superiore alberghiero «Luigi Carnacina», and immediately after the change of leadership, which took place in early September, the students of the institute achieved outstanding results.

In addition to the title of vice-champion of Europe in the tourism sector, earned by Elisabetta Facchinetti at the European contest in Linz, Austria, the institute recently secured first place at the fifth national contest «Conoscere il riso» (Knowing Rice), held in Isola della Scala, as part of the traditional Fiera del riso.

Results and Recognitions of Students

The prestigious award went to students Luca Tommasi and Alessandro Zantedeschi from class 3D, accompanied by their teacher Cosimo Pichierri.

They outperformed other Italian hotel management schools by creating and cooking a pumpkin risotto flavored with lemon, cinnamon, and slices of Baldo truffle in a cheese crust.

The same dish was presented at the Grape and Wine Festival for journalists and gastronomic sector operators, guests of the Carnacina Institute, who praised its originality and execution.
