As the summer season approaches and the subsequent increase in tourist traffic affects the main routes of the lower Lake Garda, modifications have been made to the closing hours of the San Zeno Gallery (SPBS 11). These changes aim to optimize vehicular circulation during a period of high influx while allowing the continuation of modernization and redevelopment works on the technological systems.

The Request from Local Representatives

On June 6, 2025, a joint formal communication was sent, signed by Mayor Roberto Tardani and the President of the Province of Brescia, Emanuele Moraschini, to A4 Holding S.p.A. The goal was to request a review of the evening and night-time hours previously established for phase II of the interventions, which included a closure from 8:00 PM to 7:00 AM.

Specifically, two requests were made:

  • The suspension of works during the weekend, with continuous 24-hour access to the San Zeno Gallery, to facilitate tourist mobility during peak evening hours and Sunday returns.
  • The postponement of the evening closing time from 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM on remaining weekdays, instead of the 8:00 PM – 7:00 AM schedule.

Partial Acceptance and New Time Slots

It has been communicated that the requests have been partially accepted by A4 Holding S.p.A. and the contracting ATI. Specific time slots have been identified during which the gallery will remain open continuously for 24 hours:

  • From July 19, 2025, to July 27, 2025
  • From August 7, 2025, to August 17, 2025
  • From August 28, 2025, to September 1, 2025

Starting from September 1, 2025, evening and night closures will resume with the usual hours (8:00 PM – 7:00 AM) until the completion of the construction activities.

Institutional Collaboration for the Garda Area

Mayor Roberto Tardani expressed gratitude to the Province of Brescia, particularly to President Moraschini, for their ongoing support in the territorial management of this project. Thanks were also extended to the Autostrade Company and the contracting ATI for their availability and cooperation in finding a solution that balanced the needs of all involved entities and stakeholders, ensuring an adequate service for the citizens and visitors of the Garda area during the season.
