Just a few days before the New Year’s Swim, the number of daring individuals ready to challenge the cold temperatures is increasing. Every Saturday morning at 10:30, a close-knit group gathers at the Lido di Maderno beach for a “training” session in preparation for the collective swim that will take place at noon sharp on January 1st. This week, among the participants were historical figures of the initiative, such as Alido, who started the first swim in 2006, as well as new faces from various locations.
With the water at 13.5 degrees and an outside temperature of 9 degrees, the conditions were ideal for another swimming session. Among those present was Roberto from Guidizzolo and other group members who captured the moment with an official photo accompanied by a Christmas carol. The invitation is open to anyone who wishes to join the group for the upcoming events, always at the same time and place.
