It involved the carabinieri of the mobile unit and a 34-year-old man driving a Fiat Punto. The young man, already known to the authorities for **driving under the influence**, failed to stop when signaled by the officers and accelerated, initiating a reckless pursuit of approximately twenty kilometers.
During the chase, the carabinieri attempted to position their vehicle alongside him, but were rammed by the driver who, in his attempt to escape, lost control and veered off the road. The two officers sustained minor injuries and were assisted by the Red Cross of Rivoltella. The road was temporarily closed to allow for the necessary investigations, and the young man was arrested for his dangerous conduct.
