Notte di Fiaba: Peter Pan and Captain Hook Fairytale Events
The eternal battle between Peter Pan and Captain Hook will serve as the central theme of the numerous and diverse events that, starting next Thursday, will immerse attendees in a fairytale world for four days.
This was explained by the organizers of “Notte di Fiaba” during a press conference held yesterday morning at the Apt Grad Trentino headquarters at Giardini di Porta Orientale.
Event Program
Musical and theatrical encounters, food stands, street jugglers, and large Viareggine-style scenery will fill every street of the historic center in a series of events.
On Thursday at 4 p.m.—just as with Alice last year—the “Journey into the Fairytale” will begin with Nana the terranova, Peter Pan, the Lost Boys, Giglio Tigrato, Tinker Bell, Captain Hook, Mr. Smee, the infamous crocodile, and all the other characters from Barrie’s story.
This adventure will visit the city’s squares and will be repeated four times daily until Sunday the 27th.
Shows and Entertainment
A Spanish company of sixty jugglers will meanwhile provide entertainment for both children and adults.
Also on Thursday at 9 p.m., an important and evocative musical moment will take place: in the inner courtyard of the Fortress, the première of “Peter Pan 2000, music is my country”—a musical fairytale composed by pianist Giuseppina Lucchese and performed by the Scuola Musicale di Arco.
Cultural Moments and Finales
The following day, also at the Fortress, the theatrical company “La Piccionaia” will stage “Peter Pan, un piccolo musical” (“Peter Pan, a Little Musical”). Entrance tickets for both events cost 10,000 lire.
On Sunday the 27th, the grand Treasure Hunt titled “The Neverland” will take place, involving 10 teams (six of which have registered so far).
Finally, at 10 p.m., the highlight: the pyrotechnic show, which needs no introduction.
