This weekend marks the debut of “Olivum Bardolino”, an event dedicated to Garda Dop extra virgin olive oil and gastronomic tastings, sponsored by the Veneto Region and organized by the Municipality of Bardolino in collaboration with Aipo and the Olive Protection Consortium. On Friday, May 2, at 5 PM, the awards for the Aipo d’Argento International Olive Oil Competition 2025 will take place in Piazza del Porto, while the official inauguration will be held on Saturday, May 3, at 11 AM, in the presence of local authorities.
During the weekend of May 3 and 4, from 10:30 AM to 8:30 PM, visitors will have the opportunity to taste and purchase oils from local producers along the Cornicello and Lenotti lakeside promenades, as well as discover typical local dishes such as pike in sauce with polenta and Chiaretto Doc Classico. In Piazza del Porto, workshops and tastings led by experts from Aipo and the Olive Protection Consortium will take place, providing a unique opportunity to deepen the understanding of the culinary excellence of the region.
