The Turina winery in Moniga del Garda celebrates a significant milestone with its hundredth vintage, accompanied by two important awards: the Molmenti Trophy and the Gran Priorato del Lugana. This event took place during the “Valtenesi in Rosa” festival, where the awarded wine, Valtenesi Fontanamora 2024, received the coveted trophy named after Senator Pompeo Molmenti, while the Lugana Fenil Boi Turina was crowned the best Lugana of the year. The winery, active since 1896 and now led by the fourth generation of the Turina family, also saw its Fontanamora 2023 earn the Tre Bicchieri award from Gambero Rosso, further solidifying the reputation of its acclaimed wines.
The agricultural estate spans approximately 23 hectares of vineyards between Valtenesi and Lugana, producing around 150,000 bottles annually. With a tradition deeply rooted in the past and a commitment to ongoing winemaking innovation, cousins Matteo, Andrea, and Marco Turina emphasize the importance of enhancing the territory through stories of people and dedicated viticultural practices. Their dedication to producing rosé wines, a symbol of their land, reflects a profound connection to the local culture and a promising future for the winery.
