The Monte Baldo will host an important orienteering competition on June 7th and 8th, involving athletes from all over Italy. The event, titled “2 Days Lake Garda – Monte Baldo,” will take place between the municipalities of Brenzone and San Zeno di Montagna and will serve as the fourth and fifth stages of the FISO Cup for Middle and Long distance. Orienteers will have to rely solely on a map and compass to find the correct sequence of control points in a unique natural setting, starting from Prada at an altitude of 1,550 meters above sea level.
On the first day, athletes will compete in the Middle Distance event, while the second day will be dedicated to the Long Distance event, which will take place in a mixed beech forest. The event is organized by PWT Italia in collaboration with FISO and various local partners, and it will also include a conference dedicated to cartography in the land of Eugenio Turri. Registrations are open to everyone, including beginners and amateurs, at the Event Center in Brenzone sul Garda.
