Padenghe Hosts Third Edition of the Tricolore, Featuring Risorgimento Reenactments

Padenghe will host the third edition of “Il Tricolore a Padenghe,” a Risorgimento-inspired event linked to the Dieci Giornate di Brescia, on 25 and 26 April 2026. The program centers on the 25 March 1848 episode when Don Pietro Boifava captured about 350 Austrian soldiers, and blends historical research, philological reconstruction, and participatory formats through exhibitions, educational routes, and staged performances.

Highlights include three conferences at Palazzo Barbieri (with streaming) on topics such as “Una e Indivisible – The Flag of the Dieci Giornate,” “Le cannoniere del Lago di Garda,” and a Guido Damini show/conference on 23 April at 20:45 in Padenghe’s parish hall; the main event features a historical camp with around 100 reenactors (Austrians, Savoyards, and civilian volunteers), itinerant reconstructions in the historic center, educational posts, an organ concert on 25 April by Andrea Piacentini and Daniele Dalla Piccola on a 1874 organ, a parade by the Banda Cittadina “Tullio Romano,” and a battle at Parco Vaso Rì with the Cavalleria Sabauda. The project enjoys regional and cultural patronage, and all events are free and open to the public.
