Padenghe Introduces Paid Parking and New Regulations in Lakeside Area

The public parking system has been revolutionized, especially around the lakeside area.

In recent days, all available spaces in four designated parking zones have been repainted with different colors. This change is due to the new parking regulations decided a few weeks ago by the City Council led by Giancarlo Allegri.

Essentially, a parking fee has been introduced, regulated by four parking meters installed at parking lots located in Santa Giulia, Porto, Lido, and via Meucci.

The established rates range from a minimum of 2,500 lire for one hour of parking to a maximum of 15,000 lire for the entire day.

Free and Paid Parking

The parking near the traffic light in the «Rocchetta» area remains free and reserved for residents.

Residents will also have free access to all parking spaces marked with orange or yellow lines. Those marked with blue lines will be paid parking for everyone.

In recent days, Mayor Allegri has sent a communication to all citizens outlining these new changes necessary to end the increasingly chaotic «wild parking», especially on holidays and during the summer.

An identification sticker has been prepared for residents, to be attached to the windshield of their cars. It can be collected at the local Police Department upon presentation of the vehicle registration document and a valid ID.

Padenghe is the first municipality in Valtenesi to adopt the parking meters for regulation and management of parking.
