On March 21st, in celebration of Tree Day, a significant planting initiative will take place in Padenghe sul Garda, during which nine olive trees will be planted in the garden of the Villaggio Sorelle Perdoni. The event will involve local school students, who will enthusiastically participate under the guidance of the municipal administration, the Alpini group of Padenghe, the Roverella association, and the Fotoclub Valtenesi. This initiative aims to raise awareness among young people about the importance of trees for the environment and collective well-being, as well as to promote the values associated with the Emas environmental certification obtained by the municipality.
The day will begin at 9:30 AM with a walk for the students from the school square to the planting site, where municipal officials will welcome them. The students will be divided into groups to actively participate in the planting and learn about the significance of trees. Each olive tree will have a plaque with the name chosen by each class, creating a special bond between the young participants and the plants that will help make their environment greener and more sustainable. In case of bad weather, the event will be postponed to a later date.
