The Padenghe Half Marathon saw Sara Bottarelli and Vincent Momanyi emerge victorious, with a turnout of 850 participants in this 17th edition, which took place recently. Bottarelli, the newly crowned Italian half marathon champion, completed the race in 1h16’32”, while Momanyi dominated the men’s competition with a time of 1h07’03”. Both athletes expressed their satisfaction with their performances despite the challenging conditions of the course. The event also featured an 8 km run, won by Angela Girelli in 33’55”, and Daniele Pecis Cavagna, who crossed the finish line in 30’06”. In addition to the competitive races, the event hosted a charity walk organized by the athletics section of the Polisportiva Vighenzi, supported by the Municipality of Padenghe sul Garda and other local institutions. This initiative aimed to raise funds to support oncology and hematology patients through the AIL and ABE associations. The success of the event was made possible thanks to the contributions of volunteers, sponsors, and Fidal Brescia, who actively collaborated to ensure a positive experience for all participants.
