Padenghe Weekend Events: Environmental Activities, Arts, and Local Festivities

Interesting weekend planned by the municipal administration and the Pro Loco di Padenghe sul Garda for Saturday and Sunday, April 28 and 29.

Today (Saturday), it will be the students of the local schools who will participate, along with teachers and public officials, in the ecological and environmental initiatives known as the “Tree Day”.

The event is scheduled for 9:00 AM at the Padenghe school complex, where flowering seedlings will be distributed to each student.

Ecological activities and a meeting between Alpini and the hunting and fishing sector

One of the most interesting events will be the meeting between the Alpini and the hunting and fishing section of the Brescia province, during which various types of trees and flowers native to our area will be explained and illustrated, essentially a “Flora Path”.

During the morning, new trees will be planted in the school garden, in addition to the firs used by local traders during the recent Christmas period.

Sunday activities and initiatives for young people

For Sunday, April 29, the Pro Loco has organized a day where once again, young people — but not only them — will be the main protagonists, as they will be tasked with drawing, or rather creating, a puppet that could become the mascot of Padenghe sul Garda.

The name has already been chosen: it will be “Padengolino”, a sort of “Prezzemolo” (Parsley) for Gardaland.

There will also be a dog parade open to all breeds, including those adorable mixed-breed dogs often found in our villages.

Throughout the town center, acrobats and street artists will perform, some of whom come from the recent “Festival del giocattolo” in Turin, and originate from Argentina and France.

Floral exhibitions, gastronomic delights, and entertainment

Beautiful, photogenic floral arrangements created by some master horticulturists from Padenghe will be on display, while each neighborhood will offer visitors typical regional dishes.

Finally, local merchants have also joined the initiative by decorating their shop windows “thematically”.

Many volunteer groups and associations present in the area will support the organizers.

A snack will be offered in the afternoon to all students by local shopkeepers.

The event, open to everyone, will kick off at 9:00 AM and end at 5:00 PM.
