Peace plants at the Ghirardi botanical garden in Toscolano Maderno

Recently, the Ghirardi Botanical Garden in Toscolano Maderno hosted events dedicated to the “plants of peace,” promoting reflection on hope and resilience in a globally conflict-ridden context. On October 31 and November 1, participants engaged in discussions and artistic workshops that highlighted the power of beauty as a means of connection. Director Gelsomina Fico emphasized how these initiatives allowed people of various ages and backgrounds to explore the meaning of peace through drawing and meditation, creating an atmosphere of unity. To continue in this vein, two new events are scheduled for December 7 and 12, again at the botanical garden. These gatherings will provide opportunities to delve into themes related to identity and generosity, using art and storytelling to celebrate the symbolic figure of Santa Lucia. Through engaging activities, visitors will be invited to explore the connections between nature and humanity, thus contributing to the construction of a collective message of peace. Italian Version
