Peschiera Preschool Renovation Enhances Facilities, Programs and Enrollment

The Sacra Famiglia preschool has been completely renovated in terms of equipment and furnishings. In particular, children now have access to modern toys and various outdoor activity equipment, while inside the building, tables, desks, chairs, and cabinets have been replaced.

The cafeteria service has also been revamped: the kitchen has been equipped with highly functional mechanical and electrical appliances that streamline the work of the cook, who is responsible for preparing lunch for the children every day — as the management emphasizes — using fresh, high-quality ingredients.

School Management and Programs

Since September 1999, following the withdrawal of the Sisters of Sacra Famiglia who previously managed it, the preschool has been operated by Scuole aportiane di Verona. The agreement with the municipal administration took into account the experience of the Aportiane, who have been offering two school sites — including a nursery, preschool, and elementary levels — in the city for many years, serving around five hundred children.

Thanks to the agreement with the Peschiera municipal administration, the Scuole aportiane have been able to implement long-awaited programs. Specifically, construction work on the sewage system and renovation of the restrooms, which will be upgraded to comply with the latest regulations, are scheduled to begin on July 1. These projects will continue to be carried out in close cooperation with the local government, which, according to the Aportiane, has always shown great sensitivity to all identified needs, for the benefit of the school and the children attending it.

Enrollment Data and Requests

The Scuole aportiane also reports enrollment figures: a total of 125 children divided into five classes, reflecting the high regard in which the school is held among families in Peschiera.

Furthermore, application requests each year exceed the available places.
