Pinter Association Calls for Action to Save Brione’s Historic Environmental Area
The Riccardo Pinter Association “Riccardo Pinter” issues a call to the Municipality and Province to save from decay and promote the historic-environmental area of Brione, one of the most evocative and historically rich corners of the Alto Carda. “An operation – the Rivana association states in a note – is all the more urgent as the state of decay affecting the entire complex increases alongside its obsolescence.
Meanwhile, there is growing recognition of the value of understanding and engaging with the World War I heritage not only for educational and cultural reasons but also for tourism and hiking pursuits, with administrative and cultural institutions also dedicated to the 2000 conference on Habsburg history alongside their counterparts in Braunau.
Commitments and Resources for the Historic-Environmental Park
For the Pinter Association, the municipal administration should aim for “an appropriate timeline capable of actually launching the highly anticipated historic-environmental park of Brione. For our part, we are ready to do our part”.
Recent discoveries further enrich the landscape, “while” – the Pinter Association continues – in the nearby municipality of Nago Torbole, the comprehensive restoration of the Nago fort is being completed with excellent results. Along with those of Brione, the Forte Bellavista, and the Tagliata del Ponale, it forms a continuous line without gaps.
The Importance of a Holistic Study
Of course, for the Pinter Association, the safeguarding and promotion plan for the area cannot proceed without a proper comprehensive study “which could emerge from the announced conference on the forts”.
