An incident of poaching occurred in the Alto Garda Park, where a seventy-year-old man from Calvisano was reported for hunting without a license. On Thursday, August 21, agents from the Provincial Police of Vestone noticed a large cage for capturing ungulates in the Malga Nangui area, which caught their attention. After observing the area, they saw a red SUV arrive from which the man emerged, preparing to use the trap.
The individual not only had set up the cage but was also in possession of slaughtering equipment and a rifle with ammunition. The absence of a hunting license led to his report for illegal possession of a firearm and the use of unauthorized hunting methods. Alongside him, a 64-year-old local man was also reported, accused of providing the trapping cage. All the materials found were confiscated and will be examined by the Judicial Authority.
